Description
We need to support these database backups:
- in-memory to file
- file to in-memory
- file to file
SQLite makes this easy. DuckDB requires some custom code.

Research direction
Start by locating the database backup entry points and reviewing how SQLite and DuckDB are currently handled. Check each requested direction— in-memory to file, file to in-memory, and file to file—and verify that backups work for both database types. Done means all three modes are supported, including the required DuckDB-specific behavior.
