Description

@GUI I tried start API-umbrella on Rancher (http://rancher.com/), but found that is hard work with config file on persisted storage and "dynamic" scale API-umbrella instances.

I need start persisted storage with Rancher (Convoy), then upload api_umbrella.yml on persisted storage and only then able month that volume to API-umbrella Docker image. In the end instructions for run API-umbrella looks too complex (Convoy + Upload api_umbrella.yml + start pi_umbrella with mounted volume).

  • Are api-umbrella team have plan prepare API-umbrella instructions for run with Rancher?
  • Is it possible run API-umbrella with settings in environment variables instead of api_umbrella.yml file?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the API Umbrella Docker image, the api_umbrella.yml configuration, and the described Rancher and Convoy deployment flow. Document a simpler Rancher procedure if supported and state whether configuration through environment variables is possible; completion means the deployment instructions and configuration options are clear.
