Description

Describe the bug

For front-of-meter (FOM) battery configurations with the automated dispatch option selected on the Battery Dispatch page, the look ahead period appears to be working incorrectly.

To Reproduce
  1. Create a Standalone Battery / Merchant Plant case.
  2. On the Battery Dispatch page, choose Automated dispatch and change Look ahead period to 12 hours.
  3. Run a simulation and note the NPV.
  4. Change Look ahead period to 24 hours and repeat.

Note that the NPV is higher for 12-hour look ahead than 24-hour.

Research direction

Start with the Standalone Battery / Merchant Plant workflow and the Battery Dispatch page, selecting Automated dispatch. Run the same simulation with 12-hour and 24-hour Look ahead period values and compare the NPV. Done means the look-ahead setting produces the expected relationship between dispatch results and NPV, with the behavior verified for the reported FOM battery configuration.
