Description

Enhancement Request

Hi, I would love to see the desiccant dehumidifier supported by open studio

Detailed Description

EnergyPlus supports two different desiccant systems. One is a desiccant wheel (Dehumidifier:Desiccant:System) and the other (Dehumidifier:Desiccant:NoFans) appears to allow the modelling of other types of desiccant dehumidifiers

Possible Implementation

An HVAC loop component supporting the energyplus definition of a DesiccantDehumidifier:NoFans

Thanks!

Research direction

Start with the linked EnergyPlus documentation for Dehumidifier:Desiccant:NoFans and compare it with the supported Dehumidifier:Desiccant:System definition. Identify the OpenStudio HVAC loop component entry points and tests for the existing desiccant system; done means OpenStudio can represent the NoFans definition as an HVAC loop component.
