Description

I had a model where I overwrote the default surface type assignment to make what OpenStudio thought was a wall into a floor. When I ran intersect all of the sub-divided surfaces went back to wall. Seems like they should maintain original surface type attributes.

Research direction

No file or test is named. Start by reproducing the reported model and tracing OpenStudio's native intersect operation; done when intersecting a surface preserves its pre-existing surface type attributes, with a regression test covering the wall-to-floor case.
