The possibility of glazing selection is very good indeed! Nice to know that you're implementing that. A nice thing would be to have the possibility of setting intermediate values for switchable glazing (like the MeetDaylightIllumSetPoint function does). As far as I understand, at the moment actuators allow only to get blinds fully on/off, is that correct?
From I/O Ref, the relevant output variable is:
Switchable Window System Switching Factor[]
The switching factor (tint level) of the switchable window: 0 means no switching û clear state;
1 means fully switched û dark state.
[BG 4-23-2012] need to move this to enhancment list. this would require interpolation between states that is very challenging and not practical as a CR

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by tracing the EMS actuator implementation for switchable glazing and the “Switchable Window System Switching Factor” output variable, then determine how intermediate tint values from 0 to 1 are represented and tested. Done means the actuator supports the requested switching factor without breaking existing clear and dark states.
