Description
Describe the bug
dxwrapper has become extremely stable in its ability to wrap DX7 (and earlier) games to DX9. The majority of games I've tested now work properly!
However, Remix runs into various different issues while running these games. This thread is for Spider-Man 2001. You can see #857 for the issue for Driver.
How do you reproduce the bug?
- Install Remix to your game
- Install dxwrapper by extracting the latest
dx7 binariespackage to the game folder - Replace your dxwrapper config with this one:
dxwrapper.zip
Then:
- Run the game and start a new game
- Observe the crash as it begins to render the pre-rendered cutscene
What is the expected behavior?
The runtime should not crash.

Research direction
Start by reproducing Spider-Man 2001 with the linked dxwrapper configuration and the specified RTX Remix version, then inspect remix-dxvk.log, bridge32.log, and bridge64.log around the pre-rendered cutscene crash. The issue names no source files or tests; done means the game reaches the cutscene without a runtime crash.
