Description

Describe the bug

If you have the popular screen recording/video game clipping software called medal, and it is actively running and your game is detected as a game (which starts recording), the remix software will crash before rendering 3d. I experienced the same behavior in PAYDAY: the heist, and then The Simpsons hit and run, but not on supertuxkart due to the fact its somewhat obscure so medal didn't detect it as a game and start recording.

How do you reproduce the bug?

Install medal and have it running, then launch any game that starts the recording software. However if the game is obscure or VERY new and doesn't get detected as a game, it will not crash due to it not recording.

bridge-remix-3f0ef49-113-release

What is the expected behavior?

The runtime runs and everything is fine, as long as the game is supported

Version

i tried latest CI builds, 0.6.0, 0.5.4, 0.3.0, and 0.1.1 and all had the issue

Research direction

Start by reproducing the crash with Medal.tv actively recording a detected game, using the listed RTX Remix builds and the Payday: The Heist or The Simpsons Hit & Run cases. Inspect the attached d3d9.log, NvRemixBridge.log, and crash dumps for both games. Done means the runtime reaches 3D rendering and remains stable when Medal begins recording.
