Description

Describe the bug

  • if you turn away from the object, then its mesh will remain, but the texture will either be replaced by some other one, or there will be flickering, and if it flickering, then you can see the original texture in some frames. this can be seen in reflections, if you look through the free camera, or if you capture and look in the toolkit
  • remix-0.4.0+74cadc6f (I tested this in remix-0.4.1+38a47b1c, the effect is the same)
  • KFA2 3070 CORE
  • 551.61 Game ready
  • Just Steam/GOG version of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven

To Reproduce
(in the downloaded game from steam there are fake setup and game exe's, and there is a mafia folder in which the real files are located)

  1. Copy d3d8.dll and rtx.conf to game folder from attached files (and remix runtime, yes)
  2. Run Setup.exe as admin
  3. Make these settings (By the way, alt+x does not work in windowed mode)

  4. Run Game.exe as admin
  5. Create profile, and run freeride with default settings
  6. Press LMB, this will unlock the camera rotation in the car, lower the camera down, press ESC to open the menu and lock the rotation of the game camera
  7. turn on freecam in alt+x, look up
  8. See flicker textures
