Description

Describe the bug

  • Game launches without issue using the runtime. Overlay and dev menu also show up correctly. However, the game doesn't seem to register any mouse clicks or most keyboard inputs (exceptions I found being Esc or PrtScr), making it impossible to get past the main menu. Without the runtime files in the game directory, everything works normally.
  • 0.4.1
  • RTX 3060 TI
  • 551.76
  • 1.04 (EA App)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start the game
  2. Attempt to get past the "Press Any Key" screen by clicking or pressing some keys
  3. Pressing PrtScr gets you past title screen
  4. Main menu remains unusable because mouse clicks aren't registered.

Expected behavior

  • Game registers both mouse and keyboard inputs normally

Research direction

Start by reviewing Conf and Log Files.zip and reproducing Dragon Age 2 version 1.04 with RTX Remix runtime 0.4.1, then compare behavior with the runtime files removed. Trace the runtime's mouse and keyboard input handling from the failure evidence; done means the title screen and main menu accept normal mouse clicks and keyboard input.
