Research direction
Start by reproducing the crash with Forza Horizon 5 under Proton on the listed NVIDIA driver, kernel, GPU, and KISS Linux setup. Review nvidia-bug-report.log.gz and the reported Xid NVRM 31 output, then compare behavior across the open and proprietary drivers. Done means the cause is isolated and the game no longer crashes under the affected conditions.
