Description

NVIDIA Open GPU Kernel Modules Version

595.44.11 expected, but no matching open-gpu-kernel-modules release/tag is available.

Operating System and Version

Arch Linux

Kernel Release

7.1.2-3-cachyos

Please confirm you are running a stable release kernel (e.g. not a -rc). We do not accept bug reports for unreleased kernels.
  • I am running on a stable kernel release.
Build Command

N/A - no build log is available because the 595.44.11 open-gpu-kernel-modules source/tag cannot be found.

Terminal output/Build Log

N/A - no build log is available because the Linux 595.44.11 download link returns 404 and the matching open-gpu-kernel-modules source/tag cannot be found.

More Info

The NVIDIA Vulkan Driver Support page currently lists Linux driver version 595.44.11 under Vulkan 1.4 Developer Beta Driver Downloads.

However, the Linux download link points to:

https://developer.nvidia.com/downloads/vulkan-beta-5954411-linux

This URL currently returns a NVIDIA Developer "Page Not Found" / 404 page.

Additionally, the NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules GitHub releases/tags do not appear to include a matching 595.44.11 release/tag. I also cannot find 595.44.10. The latest visible Vulkan beta open-gpu-kernel-modules release appears to be 595.44.09.

Expected:

  • The Linux 595.44.11 download link should work.
  • A matching open-gpu-kernel-modules release/tag/source for Linux 595.44.11 should be available.
  • Or the Vulkan Driver Support page should be corrected to point to the actual available Linux driver/source version.

Observed:

  • The Linux 595.44.11 download link returns 404.
  • No matching 595.44.11 open-gpu-kernel-modules tag/source release is visible.

This makes it impossible to download and build/use the matching open kernel modules source for the Vulkan beta Linux 595.44.11 driver.

Research direction

Start by verifying the NVIDIA Developer download URL and checking the repository's visible releases and tags for 595.44.11, 595.44.10, and 595.44.09. Compare the reported Vulkan beta version with the available source; done means the download and matching source are available, or the support page points to the actual version.
