Describe the bug
After upgrading from nvidia-open 595.71.05 to 610.43.02, the internal laptop display (eDP panel) remains completely black when running in NVIDIA discrete GPU mode.
- External displays connected through HDMI and USB-C continue to work normally.
- GNOME detects the internal display correctly.
- EDID is read successfully.
- eDP connector status is "connected".
- eDP connector is "enabled".
The issue is fully reproducible and disappears immediately after downgrading back to nvidia-open 595.71.05 and nvidia-utils 595.71.05.
To Reproduce
- Boot system in NVIDIA discrete GPU mode.
- Install nvidia-open 610.43.02 and matching nvidia-utils.
- Reboot.
- Internal eDP panel remains black.
- External HDMI and USB-C displays function normally.
- Downgrade to nvidia-open 595.71.05 and nvidia-utils 595.71.05.
- Reboot.
- Internal eDP panel works normally again.
