Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported build command on Rocky Linux 9.8 with kernel 5.14.0-687.12.1.el9_8.x86_64, then inspect the attached make.log for the failure. Compare the failure with the open GPU kernel module source and verify that version 575.57.08-1.el9 builds successfully with the affected kernel.
