Description
NVIDIA Open GPU Kernel Modules Version
595.71.05
Please confirm this issue does not happen with the proprietary driver (of the same version). This issue tracker is only for bugs specific to the open kernel driver.
- I confirm that this does not happen with the proprietary driver package.
Operating System and Version
CachyOS
Kernel Release
Linux cachyos-x8664 7.0.5-2-cachyos
Please confirm you are running a stable release kernel (e.g. not a -rc). We do not accept bug reports for unreleased kernels.
- I am running on a stable kernel release.
Hardware: GPU
GeForce RTX 5060
Describe the bug
Issue: GPU stuck at 100% utilization after resume from suspend, persists until reboot. Memory utilization remains at 1%, clocks are normal, no single process attributed. Occurs immediately on wake with dual monitor setup (4K@120Hz + 1080p@200Hz).
Workaround: Full reboot required to restore normal GPU behavior
To Reproduce
This happens on any wake from suspend so I am unsure of what the other requirements are.

Research direction
Start with the reported nvidia-bug-report.log.gz and reproduce a suspend/resume cycle using the listed CachyOS kernel, RTX 5060, and dual-monitor configuration. Compare GPU utilization immediately after wake and determine what evidence identifies the responsible component; done means utilization returns to normal after resume without requiring a reboot.
