Description

There is no way to set fan speed without utilizing nvidia-settings which in turn requires X and correct display settings. A lot of people use Nvidia cards only for its CUDA. They do not need X running on their servers.

So the question is that if it is possible to disentangle nvidia-settings from X? Why or why not?
