Research direction
Start in the README section that states the CMake requirement, then reproduce the documented command and inspect the rapids-cmake requirement reported from build/_deps/rapids-cmake-src/CMakeLists.txt. Update the README so its stated version matches the requirement needed by the build, and verify the command no longer contradicts the documented prerequisite.
