Research direction

Start by locating the existing bandwidth and memory-size formatting, configuration, and CLI option parsing in the repository. Define the separate decimal and binary settings through the global configuration object and expose both programmatic and CLI interfaces; done means each setting can be changed independently and affects the displayed units.
