not able to build the cuda-sample on windows 11

Hi, I downloaded this repository and try to build it on my Windows 11.

Here is the output of nvcc -V

When I try to build using cmake .. -G "Visual Studio 17 2022" -A x64, I got this error:

I think the cuda is installed correctly, and I have no idea what cause this error. Any advice?

Start by reproducing cmake .. -G "Visual Studio 17 2022" -A x64 on Windows 11 with the reported CUDA 12.8 and inspect CMakeLists.txt. Trace CMake's CUDA compiler and Visual Studio toolset detection around the reported error; done means identifying a reproducible cause and confirming that configuration completes.
