Describe the feature

Describe the feature

I would like to request the implementation of the adaptive circuit knitting algorithm in CUDA-Q. The pre-requirement is the implementation of a conventional circuit knitting algorithm. The adaptive circuit knitting algorithm has already been implemented in Qiskit by HPE engineers. The request is to rewrite it in CUDA-Q. I also wrote a prototype of the code, which could be a starting point.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing or required conventional circuit knitting implementation in CUDA-Q, then compare the requested behavior with the adaptive circuit knitting implementation in Qiskit. The reporter's prototype may provide a starting point. Done means adaptive circuit knitting is implemented in CUDA-Q after the conventional prerequisite is available, with behavior validated against the intended algorithm.
