Description
Required prerequisites
- Search the issue tracker to check if your feature has already been mentioned or rejected in other issues.
Describe the feature
The following guidelines have been mentioned in our code reviews. Consider adding them as formatting rules so we can save CR time and CI resources:
- no braces in single-line ifs (see https://github.com/NVIDIA/cuda-quantum/pull/2226#discussion_r1779056252)
Contributor guide
First steps
- Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.
- Comment on the issue to say you are picking it up — it saves two people doing the same work.
- Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.
- Open a pull request that references the issue number.
Research direction
Start by reviewing the formatting discussion in pull request #2226 and then locate the repository's C++ formatting configuration. Done means the no-braces rule is represented there and formatting or CI checks accept the resulting style.
