Description
Hello,
Is there any plan to release a stable, tagged version of APEX soon? Users would be able to refer a specific version for installation, bugs and fixes, etc.
This would also mean that HPC centres could distribute a specific version instead of users always building a dev version that can or cannot build.
Thanks!

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by reviewing APEX's existing release and tagging history, then determine what project process would support a stable version for installation and HPC distribution. Done would mean an agreed release plan or published stable tag, but the old unanswered thread provides no implementation path.
