Describe the bug
If we use pip to install from git source,
pip3 install --no-build-isolation git+https://github.com/NVIDIA/TransformerEngine.git@main
It throws error AssertionError: Could not find transformer-engine PyPI package
Expected behavior
No error is thrown.
