Description
Our file, Net.js, is derived from the Zepto library.
Since we integrated it, cross-browser network access has standardized considerably, making that a very heavy bunch of code which we probably don't need.
We should consider maintaining it as a façade and re-implementing the exported functions using current javascript standards.

Research direction
Start with src/js/net/Net.js and identify the exported functions that form its façade over the Zepto-derived implementation. Read how those functions are used, then confirm that current JavaScript network standards can replace the heavy internals without changing the façade's behavior.
