Description
From Zendesk
I am wondering if I could request that in your development of Timeline JS3, that you would consider adding a feature that would allow you to start on a slide that is closest to today's date (instead of starting from slide 1).
For reference I have included a link of other users looking for the same solution

Research direction
The request concerns TimelineJS3's initial-slide selection, but it names no source file, test, or entry point. First locate where the timeline chooses its starting slide, then define and verify behavior for selecting the slide closest to today's date instead of slide 1.
