Description
If one performs a Lighthouse-Audit it sometimes says, that the amount of generated DOM-Objects is too high.
It would be great if there is a possibility for users to prevent the minor-tick-scale generated at all.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Christoph.

Research direction
Start by locating the JavaScript code that generates the minor-tick scale; the issue does not identify a file or test. Determine how users could disable that generation, then verify that the timeline still renders correctly and that a Lighthouse audit reports fewer generated DOM objects when minor ticks are disabled.
