Research direction

Start in timeline.js by tracing how timeline images are built and whether image data comes from JSON or Caption. Confirm how the img tag is rendered and what information is available for alternative text. Done means the affected images expose appropriate alt text in the rendered timeline and the behavior is verified in the project.
