Description
There seems to be an intermittent disconnect between the locations on the StoryMap, and what the thumbnail map is displaying.
Eg. Waikato, New Zealand brings up Sri Lanka
New Zealand left off the thumbnail map in the latter part of this storyMap, despite the action being centred there:

I've tested on other StoryMaps and the feature seems to be behaving correctly, though. Have only tested on Chrome.

Research direction
Start by opening the linked soldiersofempire.nz StoryMap in Chrome and comparing the thumbnail map with the active story locations. Reproduce the Waikato/New Zealand examples and check whether the thumbnail stays synchronized through the latter part of the story. Done means the thumbnail consistently shows the location selected by the StoryMap.
