Description

  • By early August we want to be able to test the generic L2 operator with MOPITT CO, TropOMI NO2/CO and TEMPO NO2
  • The proposed strategy at first is leverage from the current iodaconverters in the jedi repos and modify the outputs from ioda format to obs_sequence format. So far we have all the above mentioned converters working at JCSDA.
  • If time permis the needed converters could be coded in fortran.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the current iodaconverters in the JEDI repositories, especially src/compo, and compare the existing MOPITT CO, TropOMI NO2/CO, and TEMPO NO2 converters. Done means the generic L2 operator can be tested with those datasets using obs_sequence output instead of IODA format; any additional Fortran converters are optional if time permits.
