Description
Motivation/Description
Science Teams using the Hub could benefit from DPS to make running their algorithms easier.
Acceptance Criteria
- Deploy DPS for Disasters
- EC2 instance in a new AWS account for disasters, not from JPL.
- Also need to figure out Auth, something independent of a MAAP account?
- UI for better algorithm selection (right now just one dropdown)
- Deploy DPS for VEDA -- add extensions to default images (same image as MAAP)
- Cryocloud is also interested -- will suggest self service with the MAAP extensions
Interdependencies
- JH team (for any questions)
- Disasters to convert their code to algorithms (Andrew the POC)
LOE
Science Engineer - Support conversion of algorithms to DPS.
Infrastructure Engineer - Coordinate any Hub, AWS account issues with JPL and 2i2c
Risks
- Deploying instances to a different account is new to JPL (on the roadmap). The fallback will be to execute on existing MAAP account for now.
- Accessing results from default buckets is a bit of an unknown at the moment. Writing to custom buckets inside jobs can circumvent.
