Description

Related to #1065.

Add a plugin that logs warnings or fires a callback if something considered in-optimal during load / traversal. This can be used to inform users whether the tile set could be improved and how. Perhaps the functions on the plugin can be used to iteratively load / query all tiles to validate the whole tile set via plugin or slower client-side process.

Some points to validate:

  • Tile content file size
  • Number of immediate children
  • Texture sizes
  • Geometric error calculations (relative to parent)?
  • Content gaps
  • Geometry contained-by-bounds

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by locating the plugin architecture and tile loading or traversal hooks; define the validation scope and completion criteria with maintainers before implementing warning or callback behavior for the listed tile-set checks.
