### Describe the new feature

I don't like it when apps independently create folders in the user directory. If an app has a feature for downloading or working with files and folders, a good solution would be to allow the user to specify a specific folder the app can work with. Otherwise, it ruins the structure the user has organized for themselves, made the way they find convenient. For all apps like file downloaders and media apps, I specify which folder they can use for downloading files.

Your app creates its own folder with files in the user directory. This didn't happen before. Moreover, I've specified the backup folder in a different location. But it still creates a folder in the user directory — I don't like that. If this folder is necessary for the app to function, let it be created in the app's own directory, invisible to the user, like Android/data, etc.

Research direction

No source files or tests are identified in the issue. Start by reproducing the unwanted user-directory folder creation and trace which App Manager feature creates it, then inspect how the configured backup folder is read. Done should mean the app either uses the user-selected location or keeps required internal files out of the user directory.
