Description
Would be very useful to have as input an image and computing a merge tree/contour tree (which is just the reeb graph when it happens to not have loops). Potentially could be easily built in the same way we have the torus example data generation since it would just be the torus setup but without the identifications.

Research direction
Start by reading the existing torus example data generation and trace how its setup is exposed. Determine how an image should be accepted and represented without the torus identifications; done means the image produces a merge tree or contour tree through the package's existing structures.
