Description
I'd like to suggest a change not in the application itself, but in your infrastructure/user experience.
Current installations and upgrades fetch the updated binary through code.kimi.com, which requests directly to China.
For users using Kimi Code outside of China, it'd be a good idea to use a CDN. From my home ISP, the upgrade currently takes around 2 minutes to complete, since the route to China servers is poor here, and is possibly to other users too.

Research direction
The issue identifies binary downloads and upgrades through code.kimi.com, but names no repository file, test, CDN provider, or deployment entry point. Investigate the current installation and upgrade distribution path, then determine how a CDN-backed route could improve access outside China; done should include a defined distribution approach and verification that upgrades use it.
