Which model were you using?

kimi 2.6

What platform is your computer?

What issue are you seeing?

there are multiple issues with vs code extension

  1. Often the input text freezes, and I am not able to type into it if the agent is doing some heavy work or in thinking state.
  2. The send now doesn't work most of the time, might be due to iresponsiveness of UI, sometimes I need to click multiple and nothing happens, while agent keeps working, and after some time, the message appears to be sent multiple time
  3. Often the windo size reduces, like it gets limited and only few things are visible, and sometimes it restores to full size, sometimes it doesn't and I need to restart the session in other window.
  4. With kimi cli, things work properly.
What steps can reproduce the bug?

Just use the kimi code vs code extension for few hours, with heavy background work, I tried on mac, ubuntu and windows, and it happens everywhere, even with high end hardware like M4 pro, 128GB ram, and better hardwares.

What is the expected behavior?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the VS Code extension behavior with Kimi Code CLI 0.5.10 during heavy background work, focusing on frozen input, repeated Send actions, and reduced window size. Compare the extension with the CLI, then verify that input stays responsive, messages send once, and the window remains usable.
