Description

Playing with your new release, particularly sidechain (which no one else has done yet so was keen to try - and it's great), I have noticed a couple of things and had an idea or two. I hope it's ok. Of course I could be using it all wrong. I'm happy to share a simple patch to demonstrate.

If you use a gate instead of trigger, it doesn't allow the release to start until gate end (perhaps intended - and also part of the next 2 requests)

Allow choice of start time as start of gate/trigger or end of gate

Allow a delay to release start from it's trigger

The release time possibly should start at instant. It's shortest time is quite slow in my experiments. But I'm no musician, just trying simple things

Allow release envelope shape (log, lin, etc)

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the sidechain behavior in VCV Rack and turn the requested gate/trigger timing, release delay, release-time, and envelope-shape questions into a decided scope; the issue does not define what done looks like.
