JORDAN: The Country That Has It All

Its capital, Amman, is a city where ancient history meets modern life.

But Amman is only the beginning.

One of Jordan’s most famous treasures is Petra.

Known as the Rose City, Petra was built by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago.

To reach its most famous landmark, the Treasury, you walk through a narrow natural canyon called the Siq.

And then suddenly…

The massive stone walls open up.

And the Treasury appears.

It almost looks unreal.

But Petra isn’t just one building.

The entire area is filled with tombs, temples, monuments, and ancient streets carved directly into the mountains.

It’s one of those places that feels completely different when you see it in person.

And then there’s Wadi Rum.

A vast desert landscape in southern Jordan, famous for its red sand, enormous rock formations, and endless open skies.

Wadi Rum has been nicknamed the Valley of the Moon.

Its landscape is so otherworldly that it has been used as a filming location for several major movies.

But you don’t need Hollywood to make it impressive.

Ride through the desert in a 4x4, watch the sunset between the mountains, and spend the night under a sky filled with stars.

Wadi Rum is an experience you don’t forget.

Then there’s the Dead Sea.

Located at more than 400 meters below sea level, it is one of the lowest places on Earth's surface.

Its extremely salty water makes it famous for one thing…

You can literally float on it.

And the mineral-rich mud has been used for centuries for its skincare benefits.

It’s one of the strangest—and most relaxing—experiences Jordan has to offer.

But Jordan isn’t only about places.

It’s also about people.

Hospitality is a huge part of Jordanian culture.

And if you visit, you’ll probably encounter traditional dishes like mansaf, maqluba, falafel, hummus, and freshly baked bread.
