Description

Description
Assigning the WinForm WebView2 control with a ContextMenuStrip is ignored. The WebView2 contextmenu is shown - not the ContextMenuStrip.

Version
SDK: v1.0.664.37
Runtime: Version 87.0.664.41 (Officiel build) (64-bit)
Framework: WinForm
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

Repro Steps
Add WebView2 and ContextMenuStrip control to the form, set WebView2's ContextMenuStrip to the added ContextMenuStrip. Load a webpage and rightclick the page. The WebView2 contextmenu is shown - not the ContextMenuStrip.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the behavior with a WinForm WebView2 control, a ContextMenuStrip, and a loaded webpage using the listed SDK and runtime versions. Confirm that right-clicking the page shows the assigned ContextMenuStrip instead of the WebView2 context menu, then verify the behavior after the change.
