[Problem/Bug]: WebView2 Mouse Pointer Permanently Hidden After Runtime 152.0.4191.x

What happened?

we can confirm this issue in our environment and would like to add another affected customer report.

Remote Desktop Manager 2026.2.18 (uses WebView2)
Multiple users affected
Multiple devices affected
Embedded RDP sessions in use
Systems are not touch-capable (no touchscreen, no pen input)
Issue Description

The mouse cursor randomly disappears while using an application that hosts WebView2 components.

The important detail is that the cursor does not disappear only inside a specific control or embedded session. Once the issue occurs, the mouse pointer becomes invisible across the entire application window.

For example, in Remote Desktop Manager the cursor is no longer visible in:

Embedded RDP sessions
Navigation panes
Menus
Tabs
General application UI

Mouse clicks continue to work normally and the cursor position can still be inferred from UI reactions, but the pointer itself is completely invisible.

Observations
The issue started without any application updates on our side.
Multiple users reported the same behaviour.
Multiple client devices are affected.
Reinstalling or restarting the application does not resolve the problem.
The issue appears consistent with WebView2 incorrectly maintaining the cursor hidden state.
Workaround

The following workaround restores normal behaviour:

Open Control Panel
Open Mouse settings
Go to "Pointer Options"
Disable "Hide pointer while typing"

After disabling this option, the mouse cursor remains visible and the issue no longer occurs.

Impact

The issue significantly affects usability because users lose visual feedback of the mouse position and may assume the application has frozen.

We would appreciate a permanent fix in a future WebView2 Runtime release.

Repro steps

1. Launch Remote Desktop Manager 2026.2.18.
2. Use the application normally for a period of time.
3. Open and switch between embedded RDP sessions and standard UI components.
4. At some point the mouse cursor becomes invisible.
5. The issue is not limited to the embedded RDP session. The cursor disappears across the entire application window.

Expected result:
The mouse cursor remains visible at all times.

Actual result:
The mouse cursor becomes completely invisible while mouse clicks and interactions continue to work.

Workaround:
Disable "Hide pointer while typing" in Windows Mouse Pointer Options.
After disabling this setting the issue no longer occurs.
