Description

What happened?

When trying to install it, the installer either says an error code or it's already installed. No matter what I tried, even after installing it again, multiple apps can't find WebView2 and therefore restrict me from using them entirely.

Importance

Blocking. My app's basic functions are not working due to this issue.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing the WebView2 installation or detection failure on Windows 10 with the Win32 framework, recording the exact installer error and runtime version. Done means identifying a reproducible cause and confirming that affected apps can find WebView2.
