Description
What happened?
This is an issue with the MS downloads page, not webview itself. I realise the web page isn't managed by the developers of webview2 but I assume someone in the team will have an inside line to whoever does in MS and can pass this on.
On this downloads page (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/?form=MA13LH#download) you can select a fixed version using a dropdown. However, if you select x86, the download doesn't change and it always downloads the x64 version.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the download behavior at the Microsoft Edge WebView2 downloads URL with x86 selected, and compare the downloaded architecture with the x64 selection. Done means the external page serves the x86 download when x86 is chosen; the payload names no repository file or test to change.
