Description

What happened?

Calling applyHostFunction on a method named "send" will generate an exception. E.g.

Myobj.send.applyHostFunction();

"TypeError: Cannot read properties of null (reading 'applyHostFunction')"

However it seems that the host "send" method is actually called so you can just ignore the exception by adding a try/catch block.

Repro steps
  1. Add a host object with a method named "send" using AddHostObjectToScript
  2. Access the object using chrome.webview.hostObjects.sync.Myobj
  3. Call the send method on the object using applyHostFunction. E.g. Myobj.send.applyHostFunction();
  4. An exception occurs, but the send method on the host object is actually called
  5. Add a try/catch block and just ignore the exception
