Description

As titled. I know this rather specific JavaScript API being discussed, nevertheless it would be very nice to see if this could bring more attention to HTML override pages as well, particularly the capability of overriding "chrome://apps" (or - the "edge://apps", respectively) via Chromium extension subsystem via chrome_url_overrides by adding support to PAGE_TO_OVERRIDE for apps too, e.g. PAGE_TO_OVERRIDE : apps.

This would enable the installed progressive web apps (hence "apps"), to be re-ordered (draggability), deleted by dragging into custom Recycle Bin, etc. without leaving the browser, the extension would be basically enhance PWA management with in-browser Desktop-like experience, which is currently very limited, let's agree. Of course, security is always first, but I wanted to touch this topic for a long time, anyway, so yeah please kindly consider that, many thanks!

P.S. If you guys know how to ping Chrome team as well, please do that, I would highly appreciate your time being herein, anyway!

Research direction

No repository file or test is named. Start by reading the linked Chromium HTML override pages documentation and the issue's API discussion, then compare the requested apps value with the existing PAGE_TO_OVERRIDE behavior. Done would require a clarified proposal and an explicit decision about supporting chrome://apps or edge://apps.
