Description
Device Name: Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G
Device Codename: amethyst
SoC: Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (SM7635)
According to the GPLv2 license, Xiaomi is required to release the complete kernel source code for all Linux kernel components included in the firmware of GPL-licensed devices.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (codename amethyst) has been widely released in global markets, but as of now:
Kernel sources for amethyst have not been published
No branch exists in the Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource repository for SM7635/amethyst
Developers are unable to build custom ROMs, recoveries, or debug kernel-level issues without compliant source release
This prevents development of:
Custom ROMs (AOSP/Lineage/PixelOS/etc.)
TWRP/OrangeFox recovery
Kernel fixes & security patch merging
Device bring-up for OSS-dependent development
Compliance verification for GPL-licensed components
Why This Is Needed
The kernel source is required to:
Ensure GPLv2 compliance
Allow community developers to work on stable custom builds
Implement proper device tree (DTBO/DTB) support
Build matching kernel modules
Enable full compatibility with Android 14/15 frameworks
Maintain kernel-level security fixes
Xiaomi has an excellent history of releasing sources, and we kindly request continuation of that support.
Request
Please release the complete kernel source code for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (amethyst) including:
Kernel tree for SM7635 platform
Device-specific DTS/DTSI
Kernel configuration (defconfig)
Vendor driver modules
Any required build scripts
Thank you.

Research direction
No repository files or tests are named. Start by checking the Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource repository for an SM7635 or amethyst branch and compare the requested kernel tree, DTS/DTSI, defconfig, modules, and build scripts with existing device releases. Done means the complete source is published.
