Description

Dear Xiaomi, I am requesting you as an android developer but more importantly as a consumer and a part of the Xiaomi device community for Android 12 (MIUI 13) MT6768 kernel source release of a device codenamed Merlin (Redmi Note 9).

This device was launched on May 12, 2020 with Android 10 (MIUI 11) and Xiaomi official support ended on August 2023 with Android 12 (MIUI 13) being the EOL. Most of the Xiaomi devices released after merlin already have their corresponding s-oss branch releases on the official MiCode GitHub repository. but my merlin device is still stuck on the older android 11 (merlin-r-oss MIUI 12) tree.

Everyone in the community are desperately looking for sign of light in the darkness.
With all the kind consideration please give us a bright response to shine again in this community.

Best regards,
Naim
