Description

Dear MiCode / Xiaomi Kernel OpenSource team,

I am a developer/userspace contributor working on device support for the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro (codename: onyx).
According to official firmware and community logs, the device is running a Linux kernel version 6.6.x (for example: …) but the corresponding open-source kernel tree and full drivers are not yet publicly available.

Request:

  1. Please publish the kernel source tree matching kernel version 6.6.x for onyx (Redmi Turbo 4 Pro), with full Git history if possible.
  2. Please ensure that all required drivers (GPU/display, modem, camera, sensors, etc) compatible with that kernel version are included and marked properly.
  3. Provide a proper tag or branch (for example: onyx-v6.6-oss, or similar) so developers can track updates.

Device/build details:

  • Device codename: onyx
  • Model: Redmi Turbo 4 Pro
  • Firmware version: Android V (LA.VENDOR.15.4.0.r1-15000-r1.0.r1_00044.1) (branch name: onyx-v-oss) :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
  • Reported kernel version: 6.6.x (community logs)
  • Repository branch currently: onyx-v-oss but kernel version not clearly marked as 6.6.x.

I appreciate the work that MiCode/Xiaomi has done publishing many kernel sources already, and hope this request can help close the gap for onyx device. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your positive response.

Kind regards,
[ecantada]

Research direction

Review the existing onyx-v-oss branch and the device/build details in this issue to determine whether a matching Linux 6.6.x kernel tree is present. Done would require an appropriate onyx kernel source publication with the requested drivers and a clearly identified tag or branch.
