Kernel source is released under the GNU GPL 2.0 license, any driver changes to critical modules must be included, regardless of vendors protecting code changes for marketing, many individual kernel sources for each device do not include critical modules such as camera kernel, display driver, device tree source and others, this violates the kernel license policy and FSF
