Description

Hi,

Because of the way the searching uses a regex if you try and search with a plus sign (+) it fails.

A workaround is to escape the plus sign with a backslash but that's not ideal.

Research direction

Start by reproducing a search containing a plus sign and trace the search handling that uses a regular expression. Done means a literal plus-sign query works without requiring a backslash escape; no specific file or test is identified in the issue.
