Description

Overall, it's always difficult to understand how to stop a list. shift + enter does "leave" the list but the indent remains there like below! I'm regularly struggling with this. I often forget that double enter really leaves it because the first enter does not do it. Maybe that's my fault on this one but just wanted to relay that there's maybe something here

Research direction

No file or test is named in the issue. Start by reproducing list exit behavior with Shift+Enter and consecutive Enter presses in the editor, then trace the list-editing entry point. Done means the exit action and resulting indentation behave predictably, with regression coverage for the reported interaction.
