[Bug]: If a user logs in through the popup, the Expanded view will still display the login screen

**Describe the bug**

Due to [this bug]([https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues/30924|https://github.com/MetaMask/metamask-extension/issues/30924]) the extension opens automatically. If a user logs in through the popup, the Expanded view will still display the login screen until the user completes the login process a second time within the Expanded view itself.

1. Turn on the extension
2. Open MM popup
3. Login in MM popup

Reproduce the issue in Chrome using extension version 12.14.0: open the MM popup, log in, and then inspect the Expanded view. Start by tracing how login state is transferred between the popup and Expanded view. Done means a login completed in the popup is reflected in the Expanded view without requiring a second login.
